“Married? In the past I would have should my discouragement. I have grown to accept Malik’s decision and his significant other. I will need to find the perfect wedding gift for my dear baby brother.”
“Your presence is the only gift I want from you.”
“But I desire to give you much more. Come here Malik,” says the sister as she opens her arms. “I have missed you so very much.”
He embraced her her and hugged her tight. He had missed her so much. “I’ve missed you too.”
She stroked his hair and held him as tight as she could. His body was flush against hers and she could feel his heart beat. Ishizu missed her baby brother so much. She had thought of him everyday. “How have you been? I know we spoke over the phone but your presence is more comforting.” She stepped back and ended the embrace delicately. “How are the little angels?”
He smiled. It was great to have her home. Especially now when he was feeling ill. He was sure it was stress. When the embrace broke he gave her a warm smile. “I’ve been okay. Better recently than in the past. My presence is not nearly as comforting as yours. The kids are doing well. They miss you too.”
She smiled as bright at the sun. “Good. That is good to hear. I hated to see you so stressed out and ill. You were so worn out Malik.” She held his hands in hers. “Why don’t we go see them later? For now, come inside and visit with me.” she held her door wide open.
“Yes, I am sorry that I worried you. There was too much going on.” He sighed. He nodded. “That sounds like a wonderful idea. I can’t wait to see their faces.” He followed her in and sat on the couch.
“Now, don’t you be sorry. Worrying for you is my first job.” With that she laughed. She sat down next to him. “I can’t either. I will bring them some gifts,” said Ishizu. By ‘some’ she meant a whole collection. “Now tell me everything. Especially about the proposal.”
